We use common carriers for delivery, so access to the job site must be such that deliveries can be made by a full 18 wheel flat-bed or an enclosed tractor trailer. It is the recipient's responsibility for unloading the material so provisions must be arranged prior to the delivery. The delivery driver will call 24 hours before making the drop to schedule the delivery.
It is the recipient's responsibility to check that all materials received are not damaged and in accordance with the order submitted. Any damaged material must be specified IN WRITING and on the bill of lading when the delivery driver is still present. A copy of the bill of lading with the remarks must be submitted to the driver at the time of delivery.
Handling the Material
Storing the Material
Correct Way to Lift
Incorrect Way to Lift
The material must be kept in a dry, well ventilated area, off the ground and on a level surface at all times. Extended storage must take place in a dry and ventilated building so that no precipitation or condensation moisture is allowed to contact the material. Flat panels that are allowed to get wet while in stacks may result in permanent damage that would not occur if properly stored.
The sheets must be lifted, not dragged off the stack.
Correct Way to Carry
Incorrect Way to Carry
The sheets must be carried by two people and by the edge.
